Jack Field showed TEAMWORK and KINDNESS when he volunteered to come during his lunch to play his viola with younger students.  He took two young musicians into my office to help and inspire them.

Anna Ruth Morrison audition and got accepted into the American String Teachers All-State Orchestra showing PASSION!!  She will go compete, perform, and represent Cannon School at ASTA Clinic October 19th and 20th.

Attention all students! Next week is Homecoming 2018! As a culmination to all of the festivities, STUCO is hosting an ‘80s themed homecoming dance on Saturday, October 20th. There will be fun food, dancing, and activities as well as a best ‘80s themed costume contest. If you do not want to dress in ‘80s style, no problem! The dress code is ‘80s or game day dress. Tickets are $12 in advance via Google doc or you may purchase directly from Ms. Eury in room #701. Ticket price at the door is $15.

Michael Dickens

Maddie Johnson showed courage during a feedback session at The Summit. In a group of teachers, Maddie was brave as she spoke on behalf of the entire student community. Thank you for helping us grow and making our school a better place!

Amaya King demonstrated kindness when she helped a peer in Spanish class. She not only sat next to the student, but stayed with them to check their work and make sure they had understood everything.

Sydney Wood demonstrated KINDNESS when she gave up a paper topic she’d chosen to another student who wanted it and chose a different one for herself. Way to go, Sydney!

Charlie Ferris and Leland Raines showed KINDNESS when they cleaned up a mess lfet behind in the upper school.

Attention all students! Next week is Homecoming 2018! As a culmination to all of the festivities, STUCO is hosting an ‘80s themed homecoming dance on Saturday, October 20th. There will be fun food, dancing, and activities as well as a best ‘80s themed costume contest. If you do not want to dress in ‘80s style, no problem! The dress code is ‘80s or game day dress. Tickets are $12 in advance via Google doc or you may purchase directly from Ms. Eury in room #701. Ticket price at the door is $15.

If you are interested in applying, please let your college counselor know ASAP, and s/he will help you understand the requirements for applying (which includes two letters of recommendation).

Sophomores: Interested in a fantastic 3-day HOBY Leadership Seminarthis summer? Please read about HOBY online and submit these two items to Dr. Wilner via email no later than 3 pm on Oct. 19th:

  1. Brief paragraph detailing why you want to participate in HOBY.
