There is a sign-up sheet outside of Mrs. Todd’s room in the World Language hallway to participate in the Foreign Language Festival Competition at Lenoir Rhyne. The deadline to sign up is October 31st. On November 1st, you will receive an e-mail from your faculty mentor.
Cannon Med is hosting a “science at UNC” seminar this Friday in room 631 at 11:20. We will be having two science majors who are both juniors (quantitative biology & biology) come and speak about their life as a science major at UNC. This is great for anyone looking to go into the sciences or just want to know more about student life at UNC.
Model UN: we will have a meeting on MONDAY, OCTOBER 22 during lunch in the Library Annex to discuss and prepare for our next trip to Wiliam and Mary the weekend of Nov. 9th. Be there!!!! Please remember that permission forms for WMHSMUN are due to Mrs. Shaefer by Monday—but if you want your best chance of securing a spot, you should turn your form in THIS WEEK!!!! You are expected to bring your form to Mrs. Shaefer PERSONALLY before the meeting on Monday so that she can assign spots fairly on a first-come, first serve basis. Please email her with questions.

Seniors: The College Counseling Team will offer Drop – In Hours for Seniors in The Cube on the following dates: 10/24 and 11/7.
Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are invited to sign-up on Family Connection to visit with College Admission Representatives coming to Cannon School. Students must get permission from their classroom teachers prior to attending an admissions event. Log into your Family Connection account to learn more about the colleges, find out visit times and register to attend. Visits will be held in The Cube or College Counseling Offices.
