Putney Student Travel offers students summer opportunities focused on Community Service, Language Immersion, Cultural Exploration, Adventure Travel, and Pre-college Enrichment. They will also be representing National Geographic Student Expeditions which offers programs for students focused on Photography, Wildlife & Conservation, Archaeology & Ancient Culture, Filmmaking, Creative Writing, Climate, and Community Service, as well as theNew York Times Student Journeys, which offers opportunities for students to explore themes prominent in Times coverage. Each journey is joined by either a National Geographic expert or New York Times journalist.

National Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing and Recognition Ceremony – The Cannon community is excited to celebrate five of our student-athletes as they sign their NLI to commit to institutions and compete in intercollegiate athletics next year. Friends and teachers are invited to attend the ceremony that will take place, Wednesday, November 13th, at 11:20 am. in Foundation Hall. The five student-athletes who will sign NLIs are:

Esther Burlington, Madison Kirby, Morgan Brown, Emily Majors, Chase Erdin, Fen Cleveland, Robert Walley, Max McDermott, Tag DuMond and Kenlee Griffin demonstrated TEAMWORK when they helped the Admissions department with an event!

Aubrey Haas and Anna Kinken demonstrated KINDNESS when they helped a student clean up a spill.

Madison Kirby showed INTEGRITY by being proactive in communicating with the college counseling team instead of just showing up late to a presentation.

Josh Robinette demonstrated KINDNESS when he noticed a student had left her backpack behind and went out of his way to take it to her.

Reah Syed showed KINDNESS when she shared her umbrella with someone when walking up from their cars.

A parent happened to be walking down the hallway and overheard Hayes Leatherman go out of his way to thank Mr. Witherspoon for his service. It was a really genuine and KIND show of RESPECT.
