Kate Booker, Eliott Diskin, DJ Nix, Anyia Brooks-Manning, George Fisher, and Isabella Friedli showed TEAMWORK when they helped the Admissions department with an event!

Matthew Leonard and Haven Hall showed COURAGE when they spoke to a group of perspective parents about their experience at Cannon during  the School Day Open House on Monday.

Olivia York showed KINDNESS as she helped a new student feel welcomed in class.



National Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing and Recognition Ceremony – The Cannon community is excited to celebrate five of our student-athletes as they sign their NLI to commit to institutions and compete in intercollegiate athletics next year. Friends and teachers are invited to attend the ceremony that will take place, Wednesday, November 13th, at 11:20 am. in Foundation Hall. The five student-athletes who will sign NLIs are:

Katie Grissom – softball, Georgetown University

Stephanie Grissom – softball, Georgetown University

Sophie Holland – golf, Lehigh University

Gabby Holloway – softball, University of Louisville

Kaylin Slattery – soccer, University of Notre Dame

**Updated**November 13th during Lunch: Oxbridge Programs will have a representative by the Private Dining Room in the cafeteria. OxbridgePrograms.com offers summer study opportunities for grades 7-12 in England, France, Spain, and the US. Students have the opportunity to live, explore, and study in Paris, Barcelona, Montpellier, Salamanca, Oxford, Cambridge, Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City. Students can choose from over 200 courses, from Medicine, Engineering, and Business, to Neuropsychology, Architecture and Photography. On each program, Activities Directors plan activities and excursions for every day of the program, like flamenco dancing in Barcelona, a Broadway show in New York City, and punting on the river in Oxford. November 26th during Lunch: Putney Student Travel will have a representative by the Private Dining Room in the cafeteria. Putney Student Travel offers students summer opportunities focused on Community Service, Language Immersion, Cultural Exploration, Adventure Travel, and Pre-college Enrichment. They will also be representing National Geographic Student Expeditions which offers programs for students focused on Photography, Wildlife & Conservation, Archaeology & Ancient Culture, Filmmaking, Creative Writing, Climate, and Community Service, as well as theNew York Times Student Journeys, which offers opportunities for students to explore themes prominent in Times coverage. Each journey is joined by either a National Geographic expert or New York Times journalist.

Our Academic Coaching team (Mrs. Weakland, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Miller, Mr. Hatcher, Mrs. Calles, and Mrs. Mattsson) are ready to support YOU in the way YOU choose!  YOU decide date and time of appointment, frequency of appointments (3x is recommended!), length of appointment, and the content of appointment.

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are invited to sign-up on Naviance Student to visit with College Admission Representatives coming to Cannon School.  Students must get permission from their classroom teachers prior to attending an admissions event. Students who need assistance accessing their Naviance account or registering for college visits should contact their college counselor.
