Michael Dickens demonstrated TEAMWORK when he quickly mopped up part of the basketball floor for a referee.

Eli Mather, Jackson Carlock, and Victor Henry demonstrated TEAMWORK when they gave up part of their drop period to help the Dean Team set up Foundation Hall in a quick 10 minutes! We appreciate you!!

David Boisvert and Jack McDermott demonstrated INTEGRITY when they found and turned in an Apple cable.

Steven Lark demonstrated KINDNESS when he escorted another student to the College Counseling department.

Chrissy Stamey demonstrated KINDNESS when she lent a student some paper in a moment of need.

Mahesh Vankineni demonstrated KINDNESS when he realized that a fellow advisee’s birthday was misspelled in the Dean’s Daily Download and immediately took steps to rectify it.

If you are interested in auditioning for this year’s US Talent Show (on Friday, December 13, after Wrap-In), please send an email to Mrs. Otey. Acts should be no longer than 3 minutes in length. Please share your act, your song, and your staging/microphone needs in the email to Mrs. Otey. All interest emails should be sent to Mrs. Otey no later than 3pm on Monday 11/25. You will be contacted about an audition time. All acts will be finalized by Friday, December 6. Thank you.

Sophomores – Senior Girls: The Perry Initiative is accepting applications for their January 11th program at Carolina Medical Center. The program is a 1-day, free, hands-on experience for young women interested in careers in medicine and engineering. Application Deadline is December 11th. November 26th during Lunch: Putney Student Travel will have a representative located by the Private Dining Room in the cafeteria. Putney Student Travel offers students summer opportunities focused on Community Service, Language Immersion, Cultural Exploration, Adventure Travel, and Pre-college Enrichment. They will also be representing National Geographic Student Expeditions which offers programs for students focused on Photography, Wildlife & Conservation, Archaeology & Ancient Culture, Filmmaking, Creative Writing, Climate, and Community Service, as well as theNew York Times Student Journeys, which offers opportunities for students to explore themes prominent in Times coverage. Each journey is joined by either a National Geographic expert or New York Times journalist.

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are invited to sign-up on Naviance Student to visit with College Admission Representatives coming to Cannon School.  Students must get permission from their classroom teachers prior to attending an admissions event. Students who need assistance accessing their Naviance account or registering for college visits should contact their college counselor.
