Ever dreamed of traveling abroad with a group of friends while taking college courses?  More and more colleges are offering a FRESHMAN YEAR ABROAD as a way for a small group of entering students to begin their education (at no additional cost) in another country.  Taylor Marks, Class of 2015 did just that!  Hear Taylor speak about her experience as a Florida State University freshman studying abroad.  Winterm Week, Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 11:20-12:00 Foundation Hall.

Collier Leatherman and Zach VanWingerden demonstrated TEAMWORK (and LEADERSHIP) when they organized their advisory and took roll during a fire drill when there was no sub or teacher with them.  Thanks, guys!

Thank you to Mitchell Skolaris, Luke Thomas, Emily Cleveland, Maddie Woods, Lara Hettiarachchi, Meg Weinstock and Amelia Andretti for demonstrating Cannon School PASSION and KINDNESS at Christmas in Davidson – their assistance with greeting families over three nights and taking down the Cannon School booth were greatly appreciated by the Admission team.  Many thanks also to the Upper School choral groups for their wonderful performance at Christmas in Davidson Saturday evening! 

Thank you to Mitchell Skolaris and Brandon Meeks for demonstrating PASSION, COURAGE and dedication to come out on a rainy Sunday afternoon to help the Admission Office at the Charlotte Observer School Fair.  Tough questions from prospective parents and grandparents were no match for Mitchell and Brandon.  They did an AWESOME job!!

Where: Taylor Hall middle school multipurpose room, we will put signs up so students know where to go.

Additionally, students are asked to bring wrapping materials like wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, bows, etc.

Our hope for all students is:

  • Bring in one present ($5-$15).

    • Contribute wrapping paper and/or other wrapping supplies.
    • Bring a giving and positive attitude.

Mr. Dunn’s English 4 students demonstrated amazing COURAGE to share their PASSIONS in front of a live audience.

Emily Cleveland demonstrated INTEGRITY when she contacted a teacher when she missed class to find out the make up work, then sought out that teacher of her own accord upon her return in order to show that she can completed the work she missed.  Way to go, Emily!

Nathan Smith demonstrated INTEGRITY when he brought a parking pass dropped by a fellow student to that student’s advisor to return to her.  Way to go, Nathan!
