Naomi Stewart was an awesome individual and picked up someone’s dropped ketchup packets after they left them. I guess you could say the packets were left behind and she helped them ketch-up! Let her relish in her kindness.

***This year the Pinky Swear Club has put together an outdoor Walk-a-Thon event TODAY during FLEX (12:30) down at the track! The Upper School is invited to participate by paying $2. Make sure to get your money to your advisor.  You will enjoy music, popsicles, and a gift card raffle! With each additional dollar paid you will receive an extra entry in the raffle. You will also earn house points! All funds will be donated to the Pinky Swear Foundation which is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional care for families who have a child battling cancer. We also urge you to wear orange and blue. Come walk for a cause!

ATTENTION JUNIORS!

Student Support would like to invite Juniors to “Focus Fridays”  during their drops and flex in the ACC classroom, Room 606.

We will be providing a stress-free AND focus-driven space to get work done.  We will provide encouragement, guidance, and office supplies to help maximize work time.  We will also be hosting a coffee bar with snacks! YUM!!!

No sign up or RSVP is needed – simply a genuine desire to get things done and to free up weekends from work and stress.

This year has been a lot. Come to Foundation Hall on Friday, 4/16 from 12:30pm-1:30pm to talk, color, listen to music, or simply have a space to decompress. Stay five minutes or the whole hour—it is your time and space to do what you need. Snacks will be provided.

Cannon Theater Company 2022 Musical Search

As always at this time of year, Cannon Theater Company is searching for the right musical to produce next year. Our first question is always – who’s interested and what are their singing strengths? To help us get a better sense of this, we (Mac, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Burlington) are asking for video submissions of you singing. These videos are NOT auditions, and they are not required in order to audition in the fall. They’re just an opportunity for you to be on our radar as we research which musicals could be good options for CTC. For more details, check out the email Mac (amacdonald@cannonschool.org) sent you on Monday.

Leo Kong’s Piano Recital Capstone

Jack Field’s Capstone will be a lunch and learn in Mr. Smith’s room at 11:45 on Thursday the 13th and the subject is discussing vaccines, how they work, a bit of history, and clearing the waters about a few misconceptions.

Hi, my name is Olivia Harper. A few weeks ago, for my Capstone, I had a survey for people to fill out about what fun activities you might want to explore on your own. Thank you to those who filled it out! I have now used those responses to create my website as my final project. I would love it if you could click on the link and check it out. There is a page on there for suggestions/feedback and it would be great if you could tell me what you think. Thank you!

CALLING ALL STUDENTS AND FACULTY! COUGARMUN 2021!

The Cannon School Model UN Team would like to announce our annual CougarMUN on April 17th from 9am-12pm in the Upper School building! CougarMUN is a fun, laid-back Model UN conference for Cannon students (8th through 12th) and faculty. No experience is needed and there is an option to work with a partner if you don’t feel comfortable working by yourself! We will announce the fun topic we will be covering soon! Because of the complexity, we will sadly not offer an online option, only in person. Masks are required and there will be social distancing. Faculty, we have several teachers every year participate, so don’t be shy!

If you have any questions, please reach out to me at jdickerson@cannonschool.org! We are so excited to see you all!

Thank you,

Jessi Dickerson
