Leland Raines and Janine Bonilla demonstrated TEAMWORK when they printed absent classmates’ essays for them so that the classmates would not get points taken off.

If you are interested in auditioning for this year’s US Talent Show (on Friday, December 13, after Wrap-In), please send an email to Mrs. Otey. Acts should be no longer than 3 minutes in length. Please share your act, your song, and your staging/microphone needs in the email to Mrs. Otey. All interest emails should be sent to Mrs. Otey no later than 3pm on Monday 11/25. You will be contacted about an audition time. All acts will be finalized by Friday, December 6. Thank you.


Sophomores – Senior Girls: The Perry Initiative is accepting applications for their January 11th program at Carolina Medical Center. The program is a 1-day, free, hands-on experience for young women interested in careers in medicine and engineering. Application Deadline is December 11th. Absences or early dismissals got you feeling behind? How can Academic Coaching at Cannon (ACC) help you push to a strong finish for Trimester 1?

Sign up for an academic coaching session (Room 606) – time slots are available this week! Our Academic Coaching team (Mrs. Weakland, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Miller, Mr. Hatcher, Mrs. Calles, and Mrs. Mattsson) are ready to support YOU in the way YOU choose!  YOU decide date and time of appointment, frequency of appointments (3x is recommended!), length of appointment, and the content of appointment.

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are invited to sign-up on Naviance Student to visit with College Admission Representatives coming to Cannon School.  Students must get permission from their classroom teachers prior to attending an admissions event. Students who need assistance accessing their Naviance account or registering for college visits should contact their college counselor.
