It’s time to think about next year’s Cannon Theater Company season!

If you are planning to audition or are even considering auditioning for any of Cannon Theater Company’s productions next year, please take a few minutes to complete this survey before spring break. The information you provide will help us pick shows that will both match up with our collective strengths and provide us with opportunities to grow. Email Mr. Mac at amacdonald@cannonschool.org with any questions!

Thanks for the outreach and interest in being a Student Ambassador and/or applying to be a Student Ambassador Network Intern for 2018-2019.  Information and applications will be available the week of April 3 – the week we return from Spring Break.  Information regarding how to complete a Student Ambassador profile and apply to be an intern will be posted on the Admission/Student Ambassador Power School page.  Notification will also be here in the blog.  Enjoy your spring break! – The Admission Team

Humanitas is going to collect supplies for a local charity called Soap N’ Hope that is led by our very own Amelie Kadackal! On Day of Service, we are going to package and personalize the items we collect for the charity!

In case you didn’t know, Soap N’ Hope collects small, travel sized versions of essential hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc.) as well as feminine hygiene products and adult diapers. These are placed in a Ziploc bag alongside a small note of kindness to connect with the recipient. The bags are then dropped off at women’s shelters in Cabarrus/Mecklenburg County. Please help us to collect these donations!

Remember to enter the CPAC through the side doors TODAY for our Cum Laude ceremony.

March 23 (the last day before spring break!!!) there will be a Concert in the COMMONS during LUNCH!!! For anyone who would like to perform in it, please contact any of the junior StuCo reps (Greta Gruber, Tommy Jones, Alex Varghese) in person or by email. Thanks!!

Spring 2018 Driver Education Program

This year, Cannon School has contracted with a local company to offer a driver education program during the spring semester. Classes and behind-the-wheel instruction will be provided by WatsOnWheels (https://www.watsonwheelsnc.com/).  WatsOnWheels has agreed to offer Cannon students a discount and provide the course for $350 per student.  The classes will be held Monday – Friday, April 9th – 25th (excluding April 18th) in Foundation Hall from 3:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Students must be 14½ years of age when the classes begin to be eligible to register. To complete the class, students must have thirty hours of class time and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. After the class portion is complete, the instructor will coordinate with students individually to complete the behind-the-wheel requirements during their school drop periods or after school hours.

The $350 fee is due on the first day of class and may be charged to the student’s Cannon School account or paid in the form of a check made out to “Watson Wheels LLC”.

To register for the driver education class, please complete this Google Form https://goo.gl/forms/DrjXvKqTi0aoCVO33.  If you have additional questions, please email me (khulin@cannonschool.org).
