Any UPPER SCHOOL girl who plans to play GIRLS BASKETBALL this winter should make plans to attend a FINAL interest meeting in Coach Kulp’s room (612) on TODAY, Oct. 6, during Student Choice. Important details regarding practice times, game schedule, and spirit pack orders will be discussed. If you are playing basketball this winter and CANNOT attend Thursday’s meeting, please see Coach Kulp prior to Fall Break.
There will be a math club interest meeting on this TODAY (October 6th) in Room 504 during lunch. We will be playing some fun games and discussing future plans for US Math Team. Come and have fun with math!! Ma+hletes unite!
Participants are needed to represent Cannon School at the upcoming Academic WorldQuest Competition scheduled for Thursday, November 10th at the Westin Charlotte. The competition begins at 5:45 pm and ends at approximately 9:30 pm. AWQ is a trivia competition played by teams representing area high schools with questions focusing on contemporary politics, geography, and world history. Students interested in participating should contact Mr. Kmidowski for more information.
Princeton Review SAT Prep Fall and Winter Workshops are open for registration. The Fall Course runs 10/15 until 11/19 for the 12/3 or 1/21 test. The Winter Course runs 1/21 until 2/25 for the 3/11 or 5/6 test. Detailed schedules and registration link can be found on the SAT Prep page on the Cannon website. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
“Interested in a Summer Study Abroad or exploring GAP Year options after high school? Come speak with a representative from ISA on Wed., Oct. 12th during lunch in the Private Dining Room. ISA High School offers summer programs through accredited foreign universities in China, Costa Rica,France, Italy, Peruand Spain. Students are able to sign-up independently, and have the opportunity to earn college credit and volunteer hourswhile abroad.” Open to all Upper School students.
