Congratulations to Rayyan Syed ‘24 who received the title of “Laureate of the First Degree” after winning FIRST PLACE in the “La Culture Slave a Paris” International Piano Competition held by Vision Euro Media. Rayyan performed the song Hugarian Sonata composed by Richard Clayderman, and his performance was judged by European music professionals in Paris, France. Rayyan has been playing the piano for 6 years with his teacher, Mrs. Maria Selpackis, and he loves the piano as it allows him to “express his feelings and emotions through music and song.” Congratulations, Rayyan!


Jodi Picoult will be speaking virtually to Cannon on Tuesday, May 25th at 11:30 am.Picoult, a graduate of Princeton and Harvard University, is a New York Times Bestselling author who has written 26 books that have been translated into 34 languages in 35 countries. Her works include Small Great Things, My Sister’s Keeper, and A Spark of Light.

Kayce Campurciani demonstrates PASSION when she continues to update an Instagram account for her Religious Schools Project on a daily basis, far above expectations for the assignment. Way to GO BEYOND, Kayce!

When the Zoom universe decided to go into retrograde, Helen Craft showed great kindness when she sent lab data to pass along to the rest of the class. Thank you Helen!

Lauren Hollar demonstrated KINDNESS when she noticed a student needed a pencil. She didn’t just let the student borrow a pencil, she gave the student five new pencils to keep!

Tierney Finn, Seini Hicks, Charlotte Holliway, Addie Krug, Trin Mathis, Jasmine McRae, Olivia Neilsen, Jasmely Ortiz, Christian Reeves and Myles Stradford displayed KINDNESS when they helped the WL department move chairs, tables and reorganize two classrooms after the AP Spanish exam.

ATTENTION JUNIORS!

Student Support would like to invite Juniors to “Focus Fridays”  during their drops and flex in the ACC classroom, Room 606.  

We will be providing a stress-free AND focus-driven space to get work done.  We will provide encouragement, guidance, and office supplies to help maximize work time.  We will also be hosting a coffee bar with snacks! YUM!!!

No sign up or RSVP is needed – simply a genuine desire to get things done and to free up weekends from work and stress.
