The Math Lab and Writing Lab at Cannon are looking for students interested in becoming peer tutors for the 2024-25 school year!

Interest Meeting for Peer Tutoring in Math Lab or Writing Lab
When: Lunch, the first 20 minutes, Wednesday, April 17th
Where: 606, the Academic Resource Center (ARC)

How: Email–or find–Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Vreeburg, or Mr. Scurlock with your questions. If you are even a little bit interested, come to the meeting to find out if it would be a good fit for you.

Solar Eclipse Precautions

Be Super Safe!! Be Sure You View this Extraordinary Event Properly!

  1. Only view the eclipse using safe solar viewing glasses (“eclipse glasses”). It is never safe to look directly at the Sun except with eclipse glasses. Looking directly at the Sun can cause permanent eye damage. Regular sunglasses do not provide protection. We will only experience a partial eclipse; even when the Sun is 90% covered, it will not be safe to view without eclipse glasses. All students should have received glasses from your Advisor.  Ask for them if you didn’t get a pair.
  2. DO NOT try to view the eclipse with binoculars or a camera, even if you are wearing eclipse glasses. Unfortunately, you’ll have to leave the photography to the professionals, don’t try and #doitforthegram 😆
