Kate Ramirez

This Wednesday, May 8, we are looking for student volunteers to help with morning or afternoon carpool to help thank our families for all the ways they have given back to Cannon this year. It will be a fun way to greet them with snacks and cards as a way to show our gratitude. Please email Mr. Ibsen in the Advancement Office to tell him which shift you will sign up for at dibsen@cannonschool.org or scan this QR code to send a message.

This is a friendly reminder that students will be participating in AP Testing May 6 – May 17 in various locations in and around the Upper School (Foundation Hall, Library, Cube, Study Rooms, CPAC, etc.). Please be mindful of your noise level as you travel around these spaces the next two weeks! Thank you!

We’ve LOVED seeing so many of you in Academic Coaching these past few weeks and months! As we approach the end of the school year, we want to ensure 606 continues to be a consistent place to be productive. Please keep in mind the Academic Coaching space is a designated academic workspace. It is open to students during drops, lunch, Office Hours, and/or with the permission of their classroom teacher. You should use 606 for the following purposes:

  • To attend a scheduled or drop-in academic coaching appointment;
  • To work on academic tasks independently and quietly;
  • To work on academic tasks in a small group quietly;
  • As an alternate space to meet with teachers and/or tutors.

 You should NOT use 606 as a place to gather socially (with the exception of lunch). 606 will be closed when there is no adult supervision. Thank you for adhering to these guidelines, so we can maintain the integrity of the Academic Coaching space!

Cannon School’s Student Council is hosting its first-ever head-shaving fundraiser. Through a non-profit called Saint Baldricks, we hope to honor Mrs. Benz and her battle against cancer. Saint Baldricks is an organization that funds childhood cancer research. On May 17th, 2024, we will be hosting this event on the field!  Mr. Gossage, Mr. Hurtado, Wil McDermott and more are shaving their head in honor of this cause if they reach their individual fundraising goals.  To support an individual’s goal to shave their head, go to the website, choose “View all” beside Top Participants, and choose the person you want to support.

⚠️ Note the changes to the schedule
