The Road to the Gossage Cup

James Fisher

Thank you Isaac Taylor for your TEAMWORK at the Homecoming Football Game (yes this Core Value is LONG overdue!). Isaac jumped in to help hold balloons during halftime when someone from Student Council was unable to make it. Thank you Isaac!

This Thurs-Sat November 7-9 at 7:00 pmCannon Theater Company will present “Witches!? In Salem?!”, the newest comedy from the playwright who created the runaway hit play “Puffs” (performed at Cannon two years ago.)

It’s like “The Crucible” from English class put in a blender, mixed with irreverent comedy, and spiced with bits of history you may not have known about.

Most importantly, it features masterful comic performances and technical wizardry from over 40 of your peers.

While the show takes on an appropriately serious tone when dealing with the outcome of the trials, our production will not present any disturbing depictions of those events. Instead, our hope is that the pressure valve of laughter will free us to think about the human failings that can lead to such a divided culture. How does our civil discourse really stack up against the Puritans of 1692?

As always, admission is free to members of the Cannon community, and $10 for guests. Tickets available at the door each night, cash or card accepted.

The reminder: We are a campaign-free campus during this election season. What does that mean? It means no public support of candidates or symbols or messages of one political party. This includes not wearing anything that is campaign-related.

We are not a conversation-free campus. We encourage you to have conversations and discussions about political issues and the election in the school environment. We know to focus on the issue of the conversation and not attack the person we disagree with in a discussion.

The invitation:
