Sally Woolwine, Grace Ter Poorten, and Camauri Davis displayed KINDNESS when talking to an upset peer. They showed compassion and gave great advice!

Tyce Evins, Henry Kelley, Walker O’Brien, and Dalton Mattsson earned a Core Value for TEAMWORK and RESPECT helping Mrs. Taylor set up and tear down Foundation Hall for a joint English class. They stepped up, and it was much appreciated! Way to go!

The Road to the Gossage Cup

Janani Karthik earned a core value for Courage in the English classroom. She addressed an issue that she noticed on the analysis paragraph assignment and respectfully addressed it with her teacher. Way to go, Janani!

Sydney Langford demonstrated INTEGRITY when she verified the policy for helping students on a take- home assessment before working with students in Math Cafe. And then she did a PHENOMENAL job of helping guide a student to understand the material rather than just telling them how to do it!

River Ridge sat with a peer during office hours and walked them through their paper, referring to the rubric, and ensuring that they understood what they needed to include in the paper. It was great TEAMWORK and incredibly KIND.

The Road to the Gossage Cup

Delaney Bruderek, Henry Dryden, Cole Frei, Spencer Hillman, Maryanne Lewis, Dalton Mattsson, Brooke McGibbon, Paul Ohrel, Julia Schattner, and Sydney Scurlock all displayed ALL of our Core Values while assisting and representing our student body well at the Open House event last Saturday. Thank you all!

Chimananda Ndubueze demonstrated incredible amounts COURAGE and the deepest and truest display of KINDNESS when she diligently sought help for someone she knew was suffering. She did not stop seeking help when it was not the easiest to get, and instead kept speaking up until it was heard and received. Chimamanda, you are an incredible advocate and exemplar in what it means to live out core values. Thank You for being you!

This Thurs-Sat November 7-9 at 7:00 pmCannon Theater Company will present “Witches!? In Salem?!”, the newest comedy from the playwright who created the runaway hit play “Puffs” (performed at Cannon two years ago.)

It’s like “The Crucible” from English class put in a blender, mixed with irreverent comedy, and spiced with bits of history you may not have known about.

Most importantly, it features masterful comic performances and technical wizardry from over 40 of your peers.

While the show takes on an appropriately serious tone when dealing with the outcome of the trials, our production will not present any disturbing depictions of those events. Instead, our hope is that the pressure valve of laughter will free us to think about the human failings that can lead to such a divided culture. How does our civil discourse really stack up against the Puritans of 1692?

As always, admission is free to members of the Cannon community, and $10 for guests. Tickets available at the door each night, cash or card accepted.
