Collier Leatherman and Zach VanWingerden demonstrated TEAMWORK (and LEADERSHIP) when they organized their advisory and took roll during a fire drill when there was no sub or teacher with them.  Thanks, guys!

Thank you to Mitchell Skolaris, Luke Thomas, Emily Cleveland, Maddie Woods, Lara Hettiarachchi, Meg Weinstock and Amelia Andretti for demonstrating Cannon School PASSION and KINDNESS at Christmas in Davidson – their assistance with greeting families over three nights and taking down the Cannon School booth were greatly appreciated by the Admission team.  Many thanks also to the Upper School choral groups for their wonderful performance at Christmas in Davidson Saturday evening! 

Thank you to Mitchell Skolaris and Brandon Meeks for demonstrating PASSION, COURAGE and dedication to come out on a rainy Sunday afternoon to help the Admission Office at the Charlotte Observer School Fair.  Tough questions from prospective parents and grandparents were no match for Mitchell and Brandon.  They did an AWESOME job!!

Students in grades 9th-12th may instead buy a gift for a young child of any age with their own gender in mind if they would like; however, keep in mind that children benefiting from this outreach opportunity may also be teens.) Additionally, students are asked to bring wrapping materials like wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, bows, etc.

Our hope for all students is:

  • Bring in one present ($5-$15).

    • Contribute wrapping paper and/or other wrapping supplies.
    • Bring a giving and positive attitude.

Kailey Kirchmeyer-Baez, Cade Lewis, and Abby Redding showed amazing TEAMWORK when they together to make our school a better place!  Thank you for not only taking out the recycling but picking up lunch trays throughout the upper school.

Nathan Smith demonstrated INTEGRITY when he brought a parking pass dropped by a fellow student to that student’s advisor to return to her.  Way to go, Nathan!

Announcing – Tuesday Jazz Lunch

Does that PB&J need a side order of swing? Then on Tuesdays during lunch bring your eats to Mr. Davis’ Music Tech room where Youtube, Spotify, and vintage vinyl will provide us with some great jazz to mellow out the middle of our day. All with open ears are welcome to come nosh and groove. See you there!

Project Wrap-In is Coming on December 7th, 2015!

Each student is asked to bring in one new, unused gift ($5- $15) to store in homeroom the week of December 7. Students in grades 9th-12th may instead buy a gift for a young child of any age with their own gender in mind if they would like; however, keep in mind that children benefiting from this outreach opportunity may also be teens.) Additionally, students are asked to bring wrapping materials like wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, bows, etc.

Our hope for all students is:

  • Bring in one present ($5-$15).

    • Contribute wrapping paper and/or other wrapping supplies.
    • Bring a giving and positive attitude.
    •  Have fun!We are looking forward to making a difference in the lives of many children!
