Cannon Theater Company Presents “Peter and the Starcatcher”!

Peter and the Starcatcher” will be performed this week Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm in the CPAC! When this thrilling play opened on Broadway in 2012, Ben Brantley of the New York Times best summed up its appeal: “With grown-up theatrical savvy and a child’s wonder at what it can achieve, Peter and the Starcatcher floats right through the ceiling of the physical limits imposed by a three-dimensional stage.” Bring the whole family to witness the magical, musical tale of how a young adventurer named Molly befriends the nameless, homeless boy who will become Peter Pan. Tickets free for Cannon students, families, and employees.

Carli Gordon showed INTEGRITY when she found a sum of money in the parking lot and turned it to Dean Booker.

Maddie Garrett demonstrated INTEGRITY and PASSION in organizing a study group to meet during lunch periods to prepare for upcoming assessments.

Noel Niske and Christian Greene showed KINDNESS when they cleaned a mess in the Commons. WTG!!!

ATTENTION Big Cougs!! Student Council is selling candy grams for $1.00 in JoeTro’s office. Please fill out a form and leave the candy and your one dollar on his desk. Student Council will deliver the purchased candy. These can be purchased to send to someone in order to wish them a great day, good luck on a test, Happy Birthday, or Happy Valentine’s Day.

The concert in the quad has been moved to Friday, February 2nd during lunch! Anyone who is interesting in performing can email any of the StuCo junior reps (Alex Varghese, Tommy Jones, and Greta Gruber)!! Thanks!!

Summer Job Opportunity! Camp Cannon is looking for several highly motivated students to work as Jr. Counselors both with our campers and in our administrative office.  You will get to help younger children learn things from art, robotics, science, sports and more or work in the office to help keep camp running smoothly.  Applicants need to be 16 years of age by June 10. 2018. Cannon’s middle school service learning group for community gardening is seeking students who would like to volunteer at the Share The Harvest Garden of Concord on Saturdays and Wednesdays. This organization donates food to charities that provide food to people who cannot afford groceries or who lack transportation to stores. February 7th family day
Need 4 students at  Tenders in Huntersville and PDQ in Concord
First sets of 2 students need to be at facilities from 11:30-1:15
Second sets of 2 students need to be at facilities from 1:15-3:00
Students will hold up signs at drive thru and entrance and verbally remind people to say they are from Cannon School. Students will receive 2 hours each.  If interested, contact Connie Ortiz at co@lknigo.com

February 6th at 11:15: WorldStrides a study abroad program for high school students will have a representative on campus during lunch to share information for summer programs with students.  Please stop by the Private Dining Hall to learn more!
