Hey everyone!
As part of my capstone, I will be hosting a Lunch and Learn this Tuesday during office hours in Dr. Newman’s room! I will be talking about disability worldwide, global initiatives to stop the stigma surrounding special needs, and some local opportunities in which you can volunteer and get service hours. I will also teach some American Sign Language too if that interests you! The zoom link is below for anyone that would like to join virtually.
Hope to see you there!
Thanks,
Jonah Presser
Hey everyone!
You may have noticed the green flyers popping up around school with a list of possible volunteer opportunities; Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been a massive decrease in relational volunteer work. As my capstone project, I will be hosting a conversation about importance of these types of organizations, why they are worth getting involved in, and common misconceptions about members of the homeless community and the effect they have on mental health of people within it. Feel free to stop by Mrs. Ross’s room on Tuesday April 1st or join my zoom room during lunch if you would like to participate. THERE WILL BE COOKIES AND LEMONADE!!!!
Hope to see you there,
Georgia McKay
