Thanks to Eliott Diskin, Rob Burlington, and Grant Haigney for helping a teacher move a refrigerator and a microwave. I appreciate you all!
Harshini Gadudasu (’22) and Sarah Combs (’23) from the Impetus Service team have created bracelets with an encouraging message on them to raise awareness for mental health! Each bracelet is only 3 dollars and all proceeds will go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness which educates and provides support to those who suffer from it. Below and attached to this email is a google form that you can fill out if you wish to order one.
To pay for the bracelets, you will have the option to either Venmo @Harshini-Gadudasu or pay Mrs. Ross upfront. Again, they are only 3 DOLLARS! So why not show your support for the National Alliance on Mental Illness and your leadership team?
If you have any questions email:
@Gadudasu, Harshini
@Combs, Sarah F.
@Ristich, Nadia

S.H.R.E.D. Charlotte – Skaters Helping Realize Excellent Dreams – is a Charlotte Nonprofit Organization that helps families with children suffering from extraordinary medical conditions. Their main event each spring is a custom skateboard art auction, and Cannon has been given two blank skateboard decks to design and donate to the cause – one with “traditional” art, and one with “maker” art. All Cannon students are encouraged to submit a proposal for a design! Design finalists will be chosen by the Upper School Arts department on January 8, and you’ll have from January until early April to complete the piece. If you’re interested, email Mush (mushhughes@cannonschool.org) to get more info or to submit your design.
Cannon Longboarders: join Mush on Mondays to walk to Dorton Park and skate the greenway paths during lunch and office hours. Eat your lunch in your advisory and then meet at the MiLL by 1200. Helmets, masks/distancing, and parental permission are required. Join the Discord server for more info and a link to the permission form: https://bit.ly/cannonlongboarders
