Dillon Casey demonstrated general awesomeness and KINDNESS by taking care to recycle excess papers.

Kaylin Slattery, Victoria Schneider, Anna Galloway, and Natalie Ray demonstrated TEAMWORK as they planned, led, and carried out a successful Powderpuff event.

John Godino demonstrated KINDNESS when he offered to help a teacher struggling to carry a whole bunch of stuff.

Stupendous students Maya Goldsberry, Amaya King, Owen Koehler, Matthew Kroll, Shane Li, Kyle Manzoor, Maddie Reiss, Brody Schleck, and Myles Stradford demonstrated KINDNESS when they returned a classroom to order.



Today our JrK-2nd grade teachers and students will host a Community Helpers Touch-a-Truck Event on campus for JrK-2nd grade students. The event will happen in the CPAC parking lot and on the soccer field. There will be multiple Emergency Response Vehicles on campus from Concord Police Department, Concord Fire Department, Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Department, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. In addition, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and Med Center Air helicopters will be landing on the soccer field. JrK-2nd grade students will have the unique opportunity to learn more about how First Responders help our community on a daily basis. US Students, this event is for our JK-2 students only.


THIS FRIDAY Impetus is hosting a PIZZA LUNCH!! We will be serving in front of Foundation Hall. It is $5 for two pieces of pizza and a drink.


Anyone interested in playing girls soccer in the spring, there will be an interest meeting on Monday, November 11th at 11:15am in the Randy Marion Field House.


Looking for an interesting SUMMER OPPORTUNITY? Here are opportunities to learn about a few travel, academic and service options for Summer 2020!!

 November 26th during Lunch: Oxbridge Programs will have a representative by the Private Dining Room in the cafeteria. OxbridgePrograms.com offers summer study opportunities for grades 7-12 in England, France, Spain, and the US. Students have the opportunity to live, explore, and study in Paris, Barcelona, Montpellier, Salamanca, Oxford, Cambridge, Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City. Students can choose from over 200 courses, from Medicine, Engineering, and Business, to Neuropsychology, Architecture and Photography. On each program, Activities Directors plan activities and excursions for every day of the program, like flamenco dancing in Barcelona, a Broadway show in New York City, and punting on the river in Oxford. November 26th during Lunch: Putney Student Travel will have a representative by the Private Dining Room in the cafeteria. Putney Student Travel offers students summer opportunities focused on Community Service, Language Immersion, Cultural Exploration, Adventure Travel, and Pre-college Enrichment. They will also be representing National Geographic Student Expeditions which offers programs for students focused on Photography, Wildlife & Conservation, Archaeology & Ancient Culture, Filmmaking, Creative Writing, Climate, and Community Service, as well as theNew York Times Student Journeys, which offers opportunities for students to explore themes prominent in Times coverage. Each journey is joined by either a National Geographic expert or New York Times journalist.

CTC’s Fall One-Acts This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

Congratulations to Cannon Theater Company for their amazing performances of “An Incomplete History of Theater” and “Wake Up Call” at the North Carolina Theater Conference this past weekend! “An Incomplete History of Theater” earned awards for “Excellence in Collaborative Playwriting” for the full cast and “Excellence in Stage Management” for Vibha Maheswaran. “Wake Up Call”, earned “Excellence in Execution of Style”, and Faith Carpenter took home an “Excellence in Design and Production” award for her work as Deck Carpenter for both shows. Come see these shows this Thurs Nov 7, Fri Nov 8, and Sat Nov 9 from 7:00-9:00pm!


Students for Constitutional Government will be meeting on Thursday, November 7th from 11:15am to 12:00pm in the Library Annex. We will be discussing 2nd Amendment rights.

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are invited to sign-up on Naviance Student to visit with College Admission Representatives coming to Cannon School.  Students must get permission from their classroom teachers prior to attending an admissions event. Students who need assistance accessing their Naviance account or registering for college visits should contact their college counselor.
