“Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, just promised it would be most likely be worth it.” -Harvey Mackay

CTC’s Fall Shows Are Here!
Cannon Theater Company’s Fall One-Acts will be performed next Thurs Nov 7, Fri Nov 8, and Sat Nov 9 at 7:00pm. The evening will begin with “An Incomplete History Of Theater”, an original play with music dreamed up by our endlessly creative and courageous troupe of CTC performers. It’s a funny and fast-paced 45-minute tour through theater history from the Greeks to the present. After a brief intermission we’ll present Stephen Gregg’s “Wake-Up Call”, a dizzying and darkly funny plunge into the teenage psyche designed to keep you guessing at every turn. Don’t miss the chance to experience what’s possible when over 40 students collaborate to create a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience!
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors:
Please be aware of the unusual time for the College Representative Visit from Northwestern University. Due to House Games the only time the representative could come to Cannon School is at 12 noon on October 31st. The representative will meet with students in The Cube. If you have not yet registered on Naviance Student to attend this session but would like to, please do so today.
School Year Abroad (SYA) – Students interested in learning about SYA’s summer programs are invited to meet with a representative on Wednesday, October 30th, at 9:40 a.m. in The Cube. SYA offers programs in China, France, and Spain. The SYA Summer five-week experience consists of four weeks of language and culture lessons – both in and outside of the classroom, excursions and community-based activities, and a meaningful homestay with a local family. The fifth week is devoted to travel, allowing students to explore more of the country they will soon be calling their “second home.”
