Andrea Moore shows KINDNESS by inspiring others with her Instagram page.  It has been shared that, “she brightens my day and many other students at Cannon.”

Jordan Cason demonstrated TEAMWORK when he helped Dean Zelaya hang posters around the Upper School. Thanks, Jordan!!

Hannah Rosa, Morgan Stilphen and Gracie Ledet showed great TEAMWORK as they led the soccer team in cheering on the Varsity Volleyball Team at a tough match on Friday! Thank you girls for your leadership.

Model UN Team Members: your signed permission slips for our MUN conference at William and Mary (November 17-19) are DUE to Mrs. Shaefer FRIDAY, SEPT. 29. If you want to be included in the delegate list without risk of ending up on the wait list, please get these forms turned in. If you are planning to participate in this conference but were not in attendance at CHARMUN (where permission forms were distributed), AND if you have not turned in a Membership Contract but wish to do so, please come see Mrs. Shaefer ASAP in the English office.

Wednesday, September 28th is the make-up day for senior portraits.  Students should report to the CPAC after advisory at 8:15

There will be a meeting of all students in grades 9-12 wishing to play lacrosse for Cannon School in the spring of 2018 on Friday, September 29th at 11:15 am in Foundation Hall.  Please plan to meet Coach Schattner and Coach Cinotti at this time to find out details about the upcoming season.

10/27: Cougars On-Site Workshop for Juniors. Open to students in the Class of 2019 who are interested in finding a job or internship.  Topics covered include: Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing Skills and Networking.  This is an optional workshop presented from 9 – 2 during a school break.  A more in-depth course which will  allow students to complete a resume and cover letter, participate in a mock interview and etiquette lunch, and develop a networking contact list will be offered through the Winterm program.  Juniors who cannot take the Winterm course and are interested in the 10/27 COS Workshop must register by emailing Kristin McClanahan at kmcclanahan@cannonschool.org.  Space is limited.

Juniors:  The representative from Balfour will be on campus during lunch on September 28th.  If you are interested in ordering a Class Ring, please plan to come to the presentation in Foundation Hall at 11:15 a.m.  You will see the available rings, receive a brochure and learn about the ordering process.

Bring a picture of one of your Advisory(or more) and Calvin to Dean Booker first and earn some refreshments for your Advisory.

10-12th grades:

College Admission Representatives Visiting Cannon School: Visits are open to current seniors, juniors and sophomores.  Students should register to attend on their Family Connection site and must request permission from the teacher of the class they will me be missing before attending.
