Our upcoming Fall Riding Sessions at Wings of Eagles Ranch will be starting the week of Sept 11th through Nov 3rd. We offer therapeutic horseback riding lessons to kids and adults with special needs. We have a mandatory training for NEW volunteers this coming Tuesday, September 5th from 5:00-8:00.  We have several openings for volunteers! It is great for students needing service hours! No Experience needed! wingsofeaglesranch.org

Elite75Prep is  looking for 10-12 volunteers for our HS Basketball Showcase which will be held September 16th (Saturday) at Cannon. They will be working the scorers table/clocks and the morning registration. The schedule will be 7:30am – 4pm. Great way to earn 8 service hours!

US student volunteer needed for BTB after school science class for JrK-1 graders on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 pm starting 9/6 and running through 11/8. Contact Ms. Brashear mbrashear@cannonschool.org if interested.

If you are interested in Model UN please come to the interest meeting in Mrs. Shaefer’s room during lunch on Thursday, 8/31 (Room 615). Even if you’re not sure you want to commit to the team but want to hear some more information, you should make plans to attend so you can meet our club leaders and learn about our conferences! For those of you that are highly interested, we will distribute membership contracts and discuss your mandatory attendance as a new member at our first conference, a local meeting at Charlotte Country Day School on Sept. 23-24!

Sophomores: It is time to break in your boots for Outward Bound!  Wear your boots on Friday 9/1 and Friday 9/8 for House Points.  See your House Leadership team for details.

Charlotte Area College Programs- mark your calendar and register in advance!

Cannon Theater Company there is a meeting on Thurs Aug 31 at 7:00pm for all students and parents of students auditioning for CTC this year. After the meeting, from 7:45-9:00pm, the whole community is invited to watch a special performance of “The Sneeze: Comedic Plays and Stories by Anton Chekhov”, which 13 CTC students performed to packed audiences at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland this summer!

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores:  Please sign up through your Family Connection account to visit with College Admission Representatives visiting Cannon School. You must receive permission from your classroom teacher if you will be missing class to attend a session.  If you are interested in a college, but unable to attend an event, please let your College Counselor know so he/she can collect information on your behalf.
