Lucas Kabasakalian and Jackson Lods demonstrated COURAGE when they volunteered to demonstrate how to compute the measurements for the History of the World timeline in front of their entire classes.

McKenna Koch and Noah Kirchmeyer-Baez demonstrated TEAMWORK when they held the door for their classmates.

Anna Ruth Morrison demonstrated RESPECT when she led her class in applauding for a classmate.

SENIORS:  College Kick-off Saturday, August 20, 2016 9:00am-12:00pm in the CPACIt is mandatory for all seniors to attend this workshop along with at least one parent from each senior’s family.  YOU MUST BRING YOUR LAPTOP!

Sophomores and Juniors, do you want to be recognized as a World Citizen? Are you interested in global issues, World Affairs Council of Charlotte, Model UN, world travel and service learning? Earn the global studies certificate designed by Cannon School in two years. Upon completion, you will be awarded a certificate on Senior Night. Contact Dr. Simard-Newman at for more information.


Would you like to spend the first week of January in beautiful, warm Costa Rica. Would you like to practice yoga, surf, work with local school children, volunteer at a turtle rescue center? All of this is possible. There are still open spots in the Costa Rica Yoga Winterm. Explore this link: to get an idea of what is possible. Then, come to a meeting in Mr. Coggins’ room during student choice on Friday 8/ 19 to hear more about the program from Christine Stahr – a representative from TrueNature. If you want to talk about this trip before Friday, see Mr. Coggins or Ms. Hoffman.
