Public Proclamations:

JUNIORS: A representative from Herff Jones will be on campus TODAY during LUNCH to take class ring orders. He will be set up in the US Commons area. Stop by his table to place your order, ask questions, or simply pick up a packet for a future order.

House Impetus is hosting a tailgate this Friday at 6:00 before the football game!  Admission is $1 for hot dogs, chips, drinks, cookies, music, and games.  Come out for a good time before cheering on your Cougars at the game!

Any student interested in more information on the Tarheel Keystone Club (a service and leadership club sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County) should see Dean Zelaya for more information.

Class of 2019! Are you interested in leadership? Do you want to be a voice for your peers? Elections for Freshmen Student Council Representatives will be held during the Beach Trip. Please submit a typed speech to Dean Ramsey  and pick up a copy of the Student Council By-laws by Friday, September 11 at 3 pm.  Contact any current member of Student Council if you have questions.

Sophomores: Break in your boots and earn House Points! Wear your boots every Friday for the next three weeks before the Outward Bound Class Trip!

Eight participants are needed to represent Cannon School at the upcoming Academic WorldQuest Competition scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th.  AWQ is a trivia competition consisting of questions focusing on contemporary politics, geography, and world history.  Participants will have dinner provided before the competition begins.  The highlight of the evening is having WCNC’s weatherman Larry Sprinkle serve as the moderator. Interested students should contact Mr. Kmidowski for more information.

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores:  College Admission Representatives begin visiting Cannon School on September 2nd!  Please sign-up to attend sessions by registering on Family Connections.  Remember you must get teacher permission prior to signing-up.  If you need assistance with Family Connections or Signing–Up for a session please contact your college counselor.  For a complete list of who will be visiting Cannon this fall visit the Family Connections site – it is updated daily!!
