DEANS DAILY DOWNLOAD 10.13.25

Ethan Safrit and J.J. Stoudmire, and Audrey Harper all assisted a teacher by volunteering to lend their computers for a class activity. Thank you all for your KINDNESS!

Jessie Wrenholt, Sarah Dinges, Mia Wheeldon, Annabelle Eaton, Canon Diana, and Liam Waite all displayed TEAMWORK when they immediately jumped into action to help a teammate find a lost item.

Jackson Drexel demonstrates KINDNESS daily in English class, and on Friday he showed exceptional COURAGE by joining a new discussion group with students he didn’t know well to share personal narratives. Your willingness to step outside your comfort zone, Jackson, made everyone feel more included—thank you!

Harlowe Miller showed KINDNESS and TEAMWORK when she made a detailed notes organizer for an absent classmate.

Did you know Malcolm Musinguzi is one of the best ever?! He shows KINDNESS every morning by going out of his way to say hello to a teacher, and it brightens her day!

Virtual driver education program will be offered during the fall semester. Classes and behind-the-wheel instruction will be provided by WatsOnWheels (https://www.watsonwheelsnc.com/). WatsOnWheels has agreed to offer Cannon students a discount and provide the course for $450 per student.  The classes will be held Monday, November 3rd through Friday, November 14th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Over the weekend, 18 of our students traveled to Charlotte Country Day School to represent Cannon School at the 12th annual CHARMUN Model United Nations Conference. Our students competed alongside delegates from Charlotte Country Day School, Charlotte Latin, and Providence Day School.

 We are proud to announce that our students performed well, earning three awards:

  • Findley O’Brien ’26– Outstanding Delegate- Rufus Scrimgeour: The Ministry of Magic: Rebuilding the Wizarding World Post-Voldemort
  • Ryan Shue ‘27- Outstanding Delegate- Marcus Junius Brutus: Fall of the Roman Senate Committee
  • Finn Pralong ’28- Verbal Commendation- James Chadwick: Manhattan Project

 The following students demonstrated teamwork and courage at the conference:

After the class portion is complete, the instructor will coordinate with students individually to complete the behind-the-wheel requirements during their school drop periods or after school hours.

 The $450 fee is due on the first day of class and may be charged to the student’s Cannon School account or paid in the form of a check made out to “Watson Wheels LLC”.
