College Board is scheduled to release PSAT scores on November 16. There are a few ways to access your score after Nov. 16:

  1. If you provided your mobile number on test day, you’ll receive a text message with access to the BigFuture School mobile app.
  2. You may also view your scores online if you have a personal College Board account.
  3. If you did not provide a mobile number and do not currently have an active College Board account, then a physical score report will be provided to you.

PreACT score reports should be available following Thanksgiving break.  Feel free to reach out to Mrs. Kulp with any additional questions about the PSAT or PreACT.

Lunch and Learn this Friday, hosted by Female Leaders in STEM!

Winterm 2024 will take place during the week of January 2 – 5, 2024. The course catalog with this year’s course options and more information about each experience can be found here.

The online registration period will begin on Thursday, November 16, 2023 during Office Hours. This process will be completed via a link sent to each student. For the first and second-year experience, once a course is filled, it will disappear from possible course options.

The North Carolina Music Educators Association will host the North Carolina All-State Orchestra at the North Carolina School of the Arts the first weekend in November. Ian Kuo ’25 auditioned and performed at a very high level to be accepted into the North Carolina All-State Orchestra. He will spend the weekend working with Nobuyoshi Yasuda, a nationally renowned conductor and educator. The orchestra will perform Sunday, November 5 at 4:30pm in the Stevens Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Congratulations Ian!

Alexander Friedli refused to give up on a problem that we were working on in Calculus class. Eventually, he found the error and we were able to move forward with the lesson. Thanks, Alexander, for your perseverance and PASSION.
 
For the second year running, members of Cannon’s CDE 3&4 class built a boat to race down the US National Whitewater Center’s class 3 and 4 rapids as part of their annual Build Your Own Boat competition. Huge thank-yous to David Mason, Samuel Schneider, and Aidan Ristich for their TEAMWORK and contribution to the boat build & testing. Massive shout out to the COURAGE demonstrated by Aliza Anderson, Evan Fuller, Ada Hicks, and Merrick Rice as they donned helmets and life jackets and sailed their vessel even farther than last year’s class! Applications will elicit essay responses as well as demonstrated volunteerism and involvement in Cannon Cultures events (i.e. Worldly Wednesdays, Winter Wonderland, etc.). Finalists will be invited to participate in an interview.
