Where: 606, the Academic Resource Center (ARC), formerly the ACC room

Who: Any upper school students interested in peer tutoring. You DO NOT have to be an “expert” at math or writing. Rather, we are looking for people who are curious, friendly, and responsible. We will train you on what to do.

Why: “By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” We know that students often learn best from each other. You will be giving back to your school and community through service. You will also learn a lot from the experience, and we believe, find that helping others is a lot of fun!

How: Email–or come find–Mrs. Miller or Mr. Scurlock with your questions. If you are even a little bit interested, come to the meeting to find out if it would be a good fit for you.

Join the Varsity Band & Orchestra Ensemble! 🎵🎻

Watch this video for all the info you need!

🗓️ When: 7:30 – 8am, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

🏢 Where: Band Room

📜 Be a part of the first credited Zero Hour Class: students who attend at least 70% of the rehearsals will receive credit and can have a seventh class on your transcript for this year. It’s pass/fail: show up, and you’re set! Join for fun without the pressure.

🎻 We celebrate all skill levels! Whether you’re up for a challenging part or prefer something easier, you’re welcome here, and whether you’re in an ensemble now, or haven’t picked up your instrument since middle school, all are welcome. The more, the merrier – let’s create beautiful music together. 💫🎵”

We are looking for volunteers to join the Cannon Studios program!  This is a program launched to provide the Cannon student and parent community opportunities to volunteer at events happening all over campus.

We are looking for assistance running lights, sound, video, photography, makeup, costumes, building, painting, and construction for our upcoming performances and events. Interest in theater, film, photography, or technology is all that is required. No experience is necessary. During school, after-school, and weekend opportunities are available.  If interested, you will be entered into a contact list by filling out the form sign-up. This year we have Brooke Timmes and Alex Fox as our President and Vice President. See/email Brook, Alex, or Mr. Storr if you have any questions.

Need help with math? Lucky for you that every morning you can find the coolest teachers in the Math Café ready to help you! Starting Monday, 8/21, at least two members of the Upper School Math Department will be in room 504 between 7:35 and 8:05, every morning before school, helping you solve all your problems…well, the math ones anyway. But what if your teacher isn’t there? Don’t worry! All math teachers can help with most levels of math, and they would all love to help you. What a great opportunity to get to know a different teacher! All math students are welcome. We hope to see you there.
