Sophia Baise, Sydney Lisk, Lara Bulat, and Vivi Lowe supported the American Diabetes Association this weekend by volunteering their Saturday morning to set up and support the 2024 Tour de Cure NC in Asheboro, NC.  Over $100K was raised through the event! Thanks for your KINDNESS and TEAMWORK!

BE AWARE while you are waiting at the light at the bottom of Education Way that when the light turns GREEN you should WAIT and LOOK BOTH WAYS before entering Poplar Tent intersection. There are trucks and other vehicles who barrel down the hill and at times take the yellow or RED. We want everyone to stay safe!! 

If you are in the building after 3:45 PM you MUST be in one of TWO locations: The US Library or the Commons.

If you are in the second or third floors without a faculty member after 3:45 PM you will receive a consequence for being out of bounds.

This is a reminder that students will be participating in AP Testing through May 17th in various locations in and around the Upper School (Foundation Hall, Library, Cube, Study Rooms, CPAC, etc.). Please be mindful of your noise level as you travel around these spaces. We appreciate your cooperation!

Cannon School’s Student Council is hosting its first-ever head-shaving fundraiser. Through a non-profit called Saint Baldricks, we hope to honor Mrs. Benz and her battle against cancer. Saint Baldricks is an organization that funds childhood cancer research. On May 17th, 2024, we will be hosting this event on the field!  Mr. Gossage, Mr. Hurtado, Wil McDermott and more are shaving their head in honor of this cause if they reach their individual fundraising goals.  To support an individual’s goal to shave their head, go to the website, choose “View all” beside Top Participants, and choose the person you want to support.

Avi Pandey, Joshua Vining, and Sebastian Dally showed TEAMWORK by lending their strength to MiLL upkeep!

The Yearbook staff and a handful of other students on drop all demonstrated TEAMWORK when they moved 98 heavy boxes of yearbooks from the curb to Dean Zelaya’s office. (if you were one of those students, come by my office and LMK so we can give you proper credit!)  Additionally, thanks to Ben Majors and Keenan Dixon for their TEAMWORK in helping move the furniture in my office to make room for these boxes!

Cannon School’s Student Council is hosting its first-ever head-shaving fundraiser. Through a non-profit called Saint Baldricks, we hope to honor Mrs. Benz and her battle against cancer. Saint Baldricks is an organization that funds childhood cancer research. On May 17th, 2024, we will be hosting this event on the field!  Mr. Gossage, Mr. Hurtado, Wil McDermott and more are shaving their head in honor of this cause if they reach their individual fundraising goals.  To support an individual’s goal to shave their head, go to the website, choose “View all” beside Top Participants, and choose the person you want to support.

Students:  If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser, including collecting products, you must receive prior approval.  Please fill out this form, print it, and turn it in to Mrs. Weakland.
The Department of Student Connection has identified a need to improve student group and community representation in our social media. Please utilize this form to submit photos, videos, flyers, etc. with captions through this Google Form OR send files and captions to Dean Zelaya mzelaya@cannonschool.org to be posted on the @CannonUpperSchool Instagram account.
