Allyson Dressler demonstrated great passion when she cheered and clapped for every single classmate in Spanish during presentations. This helped to encourage a lot of her peers and it was awesome to see Ally demonstrating what it truly means to be “present” in class. Way to go!

Instead of having a food truck this week, the Senior Gift committee will be selling Chick-fil-A to raise money for the Senior Gift.  The next food truck, All Star Cafe, will come on November 23rd.  More details will come about pre-orders and pricing for Chick-fil-A.

The US library will be closed A Block and B Block TODAY and on F Block 12 Nov for AP Psychology experiments.

Cannon School will celebrate America Recycles Day with a dress-down day on Friday, November 13. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear appropriate jeans and shirts that are either green or have a green message such as: Celebrate Earth Day, Reduce/Reuse/Recycle, Eat Local, Clean Water, Protect the Earth. Please be sure messages are appropriate as per standard dress code. 

WHO DOESN’T LOVE A GOOD COOKIE? OR A YUMMY BROWNIE? THAT’S RIGHT, NO ONE!! Everyone should come to the bake sale being held by the Project: Service club ,this Thursday and Friday, in efforts to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte!!! The proceeds from the sale will go towards purchasing “goody bags” for families staying in the Ronald McDonald House due to a severely ill child in the hospital.
STOP BY AND GET A DELICIOUS HOMEMADE DESSERT BY MEMBERS OF THE CLUB!!

Congratulations to Cannon Theater Company for a tour-de-force performance of “Marvin’s Room” at the North Carolina Theater Conference this weekend! The adjudicators praised the cast for its exemplary level of acting, Daniel Patton and Ansley Martin received awards for Excellence in Acting, and Parker Cain and Andrea Moore were honored for their technical leadership. Come see the show performed here at Cannon this week Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at 7:00pm!

The Cannon Cultures committee will bring us live Indian Classical Music for the whole school to enjoy in the cafeteria  TODAY, from 11:15-1pm.  Come by and hear some of the ancient ragas, or melodies, dating back to 1500BC.

House Impetus will be hosting our 3rd annual car wash after House Games TODAY The car wash is from 12:30 to 3:00 at the baseball fields! Anyone is welcome! A $5 donation is appreciated! All proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Hope to see you there!
