Road to the Gossage Cup

Tayo Jegede showed KINDNESS to a teacher by helping her in the cafeteria line. She appreciated it, Tayo!

Vanessa Marion demonstrated KINDNESS by giving her parking space to a student in need when all the handicapped spaces were taken.

Hannah Wittwer showed KINDNESS when she dropped in at the end of the day to wipe down my desks just because!

Peer Tutoring: Empowering Students through Collaborative Learning | by Aimen Khan | Medium

The Math Lab, Science Lab, World Language Lab, and Writing Lab at Cannon through the Academic Resource Center is looking for students interested in becoming peer tutors!

What: Application to be a Peer Tutor
When: Between Monday, 4/7 and end of day on Tuesday, 4/15.
Who: Any 9th-11th grade students interested in peer tutoring. You DO NOT have to be an “expert” in the subject area. Rather, we are looking for people who are curious, friendly, and responsible. We will train you on what to do.
Why: “By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” We know that students often learn best from each other. You will be giving back to your school and community through service. You will also learn a lot from the experience, and we believe, find that helping others is a lot of fun!
How: Use the QR Code to complete and submit the application no later than end of day on Tuesday, April 15.

If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Vreeburg, Dr. Arriaga, or Mrs. Kulp.

**For those who served as Academic Lab tutors this school year, please reapply for next year to confirm your continued interest in being a peer tutor.

Have you RSVP’d?

Sophomores and Junior Families (ONLY) – you are invited to the Case Studies event on April 27th.

You should have received an email from College Counseling with the registration link and the RSVP is due by April 7th. Reach out to College Counseling if you have questions!
