AP/AT Students: If you would like to make changes to your AP exam order, you may do so until thisFriday, March 14. You should contact Mrs. Kulp (jkulp@cannonschool.org) immediately with your change(s). After Friday, March 14, absolutely NO additions can be made to AP exam orders. Cancellation and late add fees do apply this year per College Board. Award-winning professional actor and Cannon alum (’08) Justin Weaks will present an interactive workshop for student artists and writers of every medium called The Power of Storytelling. Through conversations and exercises, Justin will lead us in unpacking the stories of our own lives, the stories we tell ourselves, our need for stories in our current culture, and the power we all possess in authoring a new story to be told. Justin will share his own story, focusing on experiences and tools that may help us navigate own creative journeys, and more importantly, our lives.Anyone interested should join us in the CPAC on Thu Mar 13 during Office Hours 12:55-1:40pm.

Senior Community Connections is a local non-profit assisting seniors ages 55+ with rides, errands, social events, household chores, etc. We are in need of volunteers.  If you are interested, please contact Nicole.scclkn@gmail.com

Spring 2025
Driver Education Program

Virtual driver education programs are available during the spring semester. Classes and behind-the-wheel instruction will be provided by WatsOnWheels (https://www.watsonwheelsnc.com/). WatsOnWheels has agreed to offer Cannon students a discount and provide the course for $450 per student.

The classes will be held Monday, April 21st–Friday, May 2nd from 4:30 – 7:30 (virtually). The maximum number of available spaces is 25.

Students must be 14½ years of age when the classes begin to be eligible to register. To complete the class, students must have thirty hours of class time and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

My name is Olivia Long, and I am a senior.

For my capstone, I am planning on teaching mini classes this week on different topics related to marketing!

I will be teaching a mini-class on how to market yourself during lunch this Friday in Foundation Hall! This class is perfect for anyone who wants to get better at interviews or wants to know how to best portray who they are and what they bring to the table (perfect for college applications, Juniors!)

Cannon Cultures would like to recognize one or more students from the class of 2025 with $2,000 in scholarship funds. If you are interested in applying, please submit the following:

1) responses to the two essay prompts below,

2) a pdf of your resume, and

3) one letter of support from a Cannon teacher, administrator, or staff member.

After reviewing the submitted elements, students may be selected for a personal interview with the Cannon Cultures Scholarship Committee.  Scholarship recipients will be announced at Senior Night. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Gibbons at juliegibbonsemail@gmail.com.
