*** TODAY — last day to drop/add***

Lilly Breese, Lucy Way, and Maryanne Lewis spent 3 hours helping our parents navigate the Upper School, read our schedules, and make it to each classroom on time during back-to-school night. They were all fabulous representations of our PST; and our student body! THANK YOU, Lilly, Lucy, and Maryanne! (That’s 2 days of consecutive CVs for Maryanne!!)

Niki Desai displayed KINDNESS when she used her free time to help explain math concepts to her advisory mates!

Shawn Kennedy and Henry Garrison demonstrated KINDNESS when they jumped up to help Ms. Brady clean up water that she had spilled all over her computer, desk, and papers! Thanks for lending a hand, friends!!

Isaiah Scott showed care, KINDNESS, and generosity by creating extensive study materials for an upcoming assessment and sharing them with his fellow students. We hope your classmates appreciate this, Isaiah!

Henry Apostolopoulos showed care and KINDNESS by working with a classmate to distribute study materials that will benefit students across all course sections. THANK YOU, Henry!

Jacob Hartsell showed COURAGE when he volunteered to share his creative piece with the class. Way to be brave, Jacob!

Kendyl Majors demonstrated KINDNESS when she complimented a teacher and asked about her day. Way to make a teacher’s day, Kendyl!!

Ashmi Trivedi 🥳

Today we will welcome Dr. Dave Dixon as our guest speaker during our Community Meeting for Student Life.  Dr. Dixon will speak to our US community about Artificial Intelligence and demonstrate that with the right strategies, AI can enhance, not hinder, education, critical thinking, and writing skills.

Dr. Dixon earned his Ph.D. in Work, Technology, & Organizations, as well as a Master’s degree in Sociology and Management Science from Stanford University. His entire career has focused on integrating advanced technology with the best teaching and learning practices around. We hope this talk will be informative and empowering for all students and educators.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:  The Cabarrus County JOYPROM is a prom for local youth and adults with disabilities.  This prom provides these youth and adults a fun and exciting night of music, food, fellowship, and dancing!   The JOYPROM will take place Saturday, September 30th from 4:30-9:30 at the Community Church of Mt. Pleasant.  Volunteers are needed to help with jobs at this event and to offer kindness to the attendees.  If you are interested in volunteering, you will need to purchase a volunteer shirt for $20 and attend a training on September 21st at 6:30.
Volunteers should sign up here by September 12th.

We are in need of one or two more students for CSG (Cannon School Gaming). This is for the League of Legends competitive team. We also need subs as well, so we’ll take more if there’s more interest!

There is no expectation of ever playing the game before. There is no expectation of “being a gamer.” All current team members are new to the game!

We meet once or twice a week and the games are on Tuesday at 7 pm (play from home). (Sept 12- Nov 14th). Everyone on the team is just in it for fun and we have a very positive group. Please email Mr. Storr if interested!!
