New this year: The Math Lab and Writing Lab at Cannon through the Academic Resource Center (formerly ACC), run by Mr. Scurlock and Mrs. Miller!

We are looking for students interested in becoming peer tutors!

What: Interest Meeting for Peer Tutoring in Math Lab or Writing Lab

When: Office Hours, the first 20 minutes, Tuesday, August 29th

Where: 606, the Academic Resource Center (ARC), formerly the ACC room

Who: Any upper school students interested in peer tutoring. You DO NOT have to be an “expert” at math or writing. Rather, we are looking for people who are curious, friendly, and responsible. We will train you on what to do.

Why: “By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” We know that students often learn best from each other. You will be giving back to your school and community through service. You will also learn a lot from the experience, and we believe, find that helping others is a lot of fun!

How: Email–or go find–Mrs. Miller or Mr. Scurlock with your questions. If you are even a little bit interested, come to the meeting to find out if it would be a good fit for you.
