Ronald McDonald House t-shirt day is this coming Wednesday, April 12!  Wear the t-shirt you received in advisory April 10-11 to show support for RMH—you can dress down as long as you wear your shirt!

This month, Spectrum will be hosting a series of workshops exploring three culturally relevant topics The first of these workshops, with the topic of racial colorblindness, will be Tuesday April 12 during Lunch in the Library Annex. The workshop  will be interactive – and is a great opportunity to explore perspectives on an important topic. Please bring your laptop to the workshop. If you would like to learn about the topic before the workshop, we encourage you read  about it or watch a few videos. We look forward to seeing you on April 12th. The next two workshops will be on April 27 during Student Choice and May 2 during lunch, on the topics of feminism/meninism and HB2.

Attention Juniors and SeniorsJust a few friendly reminder about prom: First, the last day to purchase prom tickets at regular price is April 9th. After that all tickets will be $115. Second, starting April 3rd, tickets can only be purchased in Ms. Eury’s room before/after school. Finally, the absolute last day to buy tickets is Friday, April 13th.

Seniors: Auditions for Senior Night performances will be held on Tuesday, April 25th, after school (LOCATION TBD). If you are interested in auditioning, please e-mail Taylor Lumpkins at tlumpkins@cannonschool.org with what you plan to present. Performances should be 2 1/2 minutes or less.

Hi gorgeous ladies!

This year we’re continuing the tradition of the Selfie Project and No Makeup Day on April 18th. For those of you who don’t know, this is a celebration of natural beauty and an opportunity to spread kindness and love to one another. We need a few things from you to make sure this event is as awesome as possible:

1) Send us a picture that you feel beautiful in! Please send your picture to selfieproject2017@gmail.com by April 13.

2) Come to the library annex during lunch and Student Choice on April 18 to leave Post-It note compliments on everyone’s pictures celebrating their beauty and uniqueness!

3) Go makeup-free on April 18th to let your natural beauty shine through!

All of these things are totally optional, but we really encourage you to participate. It might be weird or scary, but that’s okay – you may just learn something incredible about yourself and how awesome you are.
